Privacy Policy

CryptoConvert respects your privacy. This page explains what data we do (and don't) handle when you use the site.

What we collect

We do not require accounts and we do not collect personal information. The conversions you perform happen in your browser and are not stored on our servers.

Third-party services

Live market prices come from CoinGecko. When the calculator fetches a price, your browser makes a direct request to the CoinGecko API and is subject to their privacy policy.

If you accept analytics cookies (see below), we also load Google Analytics 4, processed by Google under their Privacy Policy.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-79DZ0QZZBS) to understand aggregate usage of the site — which converters are popular, how often pages are visited, and so on. We do not use it for advertising or cross-site tracking.

Analytics is loaded using Google Consent Mode v2 and starts in a denied state. That means no analytics cookies are set and no data is sent to Google until you explicitly accept.

On your first visit you'll see a cookie banner with two options:

  • Accept — Google Analytics is enabled and may set cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to measure pageviews and sessions.
  • Decline — no analytics cookies are set and no usage data is collected.

Your choice is remembered across pages and visits. You can change it anytime by clicking "Manage cookies" in the site footer.

Local storage

The site may store small preferences in your browser's local storage — for example, your last selected currency pair and your cookie consent choice (key cc_consent). These values stay on your device and are never sent to our servers.
